Some Fun Sangria Color!

I am LOVING the rich, bold colors of this month’s Close to My Heart featured collection – Sangria PaperSangria!!!  I didn’t realize how much I liked it until I actually started using it to create scrapbook layouts and cards.  It screams FALL with deep purple, rich reds, and vibrant golds.  I realized how much it reminds me of autumn in Pennsylvania.  I live in Utah now, but I often think about the foilage in PA – especially in the fall.  The colors in this paper remind me of the maple and oak leaves (not scrub oak like we have here in UT, but big, beautiful, majestic oaks like you find back East)!!

Here are some of the cards and layouts I created so far this month.

Inspired by the talented Mary Luttrell (fellow CTMH Consultant).

Inspired by the beautiful Wasatch Front (that I get to see every day)!

I really need to work on my card photos (I cheated on these and scanned them!)

And if Scrapbooking is more your style – I made these pages from the Sangria Workshop on the Go.  This Workshop on the Go includes the Sangria Paper Packet, 4 extra sheets of cardstock, Poppy Thick Twine, and the Sangria Assortment.  My favorite part of the Workshop on the Go is the Exclusive My Acrylix Stamp set!  Not to mention the great value you get from purchasing it all together.

Directions for the top layout are included in the Workshop and the Cricut cuts include sizes. The 2nd layout comes from Make It From Your Heart Volume II (an example is included with the instructions).

The 3rd layout was inspired by layout 1 from the Make It From Your Heart Volume I How-to Book.  I only added 2 pieces of cardstock for the layout bases.  I didn’t include photo mattes or journaling boxes to keep this layout more open for different options.IMG_1879

I keep saying this – but LOOK HOW MUCH PAPER IS LEFT OVER!  You can easily make more layouts or some of the cards shown above.

Enjoy!  ~Gerri
