d1711This cute stamp set is more than just a set of cute kids sending you love and wishing you a happy day!  When you purchase this stamp set for just $17.95, Close To My Heart will donate $7 to Operation Smile!  The goal of Operation Smile is to provide exceptional surgical care to children suffering from cleft lip or cleft palate – find out more here www.operationsmile.org.  Close To My Heart has been partnering with Operation Smile since 2004 to help fund these surgeries.  This month I have 2 cards featuring this stamp set.

I love the idea of sending a hug (in paper form) across the miles.  This was a very simple card to make – some Whisper cardstock, then a patterned piece from the Sugar Rush Paper Packet and the cute little girl stamped in Whisper and colored in with water color pencils.  I used the small heart stamp from the Mother’s Day WYW Cardmaking Kit for the trail of hearts.  These were done with 1st & 2nd generation stamped images using Pomegranate.

This guy was REALLY simple – a strip of patterned paper from Sugar Rush, a strip of Silver Shimmer Trim.  I stamped the image in Slate and then used regular colored pencils to color it him in.  The ‘Have A Happy Day’ is stamped in Lagoon.

If you’d like to make these cards – check out my Sugar Rush card classes here.  If you’re interested in this special Stamp Set – you can contact me or purchase it at gerri.closetomyheart.com

Thanks for checking out my cards – I hope your day is awesome!
