Do you like bugs? I don’t in general, but there are a few that are cute (some caterpillars), beautiful (butterflies), interesting (walking sticks). Today’s post includes bugs (I know if my kids read this I’m sure to get a lecture about what is or isn’t a bug – but I’m just going to use it in a general sense here.)
The Dreamin’ Big Cardmaking Stamp Set (C1674) has butterflies, a lady bug, & a cute dragonfly along with some general card sentiments. The butterflies and dragonfly look great with a Rock-n-Roll stamping technique and the Gold or Clear Shimmer brush add some great shine.
The first card I made is one of the Scrapbooking Workshops Your Way extra projects. I really like these projects because once I’ve made my layouts – it’s a great way to use up some of the leftovers.
Here’s another card that’s great for using up scraps. I just cut 1/2″ strips of different papers, then laid them diagonally across a piece of White Daisy cardstock. After trimming this piece to the desired size (in this case, it was 5 1/4 X 4), I layered it with a background piece and part of a PML card. I topped this off with the bugs & some Dreamin’ Big Sequins.
I hope you’ve enjoyed these cards. Remember, the Dreamin’ Big paper suite is available until 30 April, or while supplies last (sadly, the Thin Cuts are already unavailable). So, if you really like it, get yours today!
