Good morning! I’m sitting here on my deck listening to the breeze whispering through the trees and the birds just singing away. I have my new Annual Inspirations, a delicious cup of coffee and my convention notes. It’s a calm morning (my boys are still asleep) so I thought I’d take a minute to share a few highlights from the Close To My Heart Convention.
First up is the new Annual Inspirations & Holiday Expressions! There are so many beautiful new things, I can’t possibly do them justice in a single blog post, so I’ll be sharing new product and artwork on my Facebook page over then next few weeks.
But I’ll touch on just a few things here –
New Basics color palette! We have 10 new colors in the basics line from linen to charcoal! Black has moved over with White Daisy as a Neutral stand alone color.
Double-sided cardstock! – yep – you can see it in the picture above – each 12×12 sheet of colored cardstock will have a lighter version on the back, so you’ll have double the creativity!
New Cricut cartridge – You Are Here! This collection is a great way to start capturing your adventures whether they are all around the world or right in your back yard! It is available in both a physical and digital version. And there are also 3 new digital collections featuring the USA, Canada & Australia/New Zealand!!!
We also had wonderful speakers! From the amazingly talented Stacy Julian to the inspiring story of Stephanie Nielson (author of Heaven is Here), Chari Pack from Persnickety Prints and of course our own fantastic consultants! (Apparently I was so engrossed in what they were saying, I didn’t get pictures!!)
The Home Office tour was great, too! We got to see where all the amazingly talented artists work and where Jeanette gives her stamp of approval to what’s coming our way!
There were so many great moments at convention – old friendships rekindled, new friendships forged! And I got to share it all with my mom.
I’ll finish off with a picture of the CTMH mission statement – it really says so much about what I love about this business and how it has helped me grow. I have so many relationships to celebrate (both new and old), I have definitely discovered my creativity, all while sharing and preserving the memories that matter most to me.
I hope you all enjoy your week! If you’re here in the US, have a safe and happy Independence Day!
