Most Wonderful Time….

We’re closer still to Christmas and here’s another cute, quick and easy Christmas card.  This card pairs Ruby cardstock and ink with the City Sidewalks washi pack and red enamel gems.

Another card with the Cozy Christmas stamp set.

Silent Night

img_0537-copyThis is probably my favorite card from the November class. It doesn’t scream Christmas… it’s not the traditional red & green…yet it so nicely conveys what is so important to me during the Christmas season.  The church I attend has Christmas Eve services. Now that my boys are old enough, we like to go to the midnight service. We always end by lighting small hand held candles, dimming the lights and singing Silent Night – it’s absolutely beautiful!

I started with the Hymns of Praise stamp set as my inspiration.  I really liked how the Sapphire and Crystal Blue worked so well with the green anchor piece on the bottom. A little Silver Shimmer trim, some Bitty Sparkles… and you have the makings of a lovely card.

The new Holiday Expressions Idea Book now includes packs of coordinating cardstock for each of the My Reflections Paper Packets.  This is a great way to build your stash of CTMH cardstocks while ensuring you have the colors that work with patterned B&T Duos papers.  I love how CTMH makes it so easy to coordinate & get projects done quickly as well as beautifully!

My wish for you as we head into this crazy season is that along with the busy nights, the harried nights, and the try-to-fit-everything in nights that you’ll be able to take a few moments and enjoy a silent night or two.

EASY! Really!

Honestly – it’ll be hard to find a card easier than this.  Using the City Sidewalks paper – I cut a 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 piece from the peacock paper with trees, then trimmed the 4 X 6 Picture My Life Card.  Added a couple of stamped twinkles from the SOTM – New Year’s Cheer, and a bitty sparkle to the star at the top – DONE!

Honestly – if I were to remake this card – I would cut less from the top and more from the bottom so that little star at the top was showcased a little better.

What’s the easiest card you’ve ever made?!

Supplies Used –

City Sidewalks Workshop Your Way

These are such FUN Christmas papers!  I love the bright, non-traditional colors like Lagoon & Peacock and I love how well they coordinate with the beautiful green & red that we’re used to around Christmas.

This Workshop Your Way adds the City Sidewalks complements and Washi Pack for great embellishments to accent your photos.

I used these layouts to document capture our trip to California in 2003 (wow – that was so long ago!).  This was the year we got 2 Christmases.  We were in PA for Thanksgiving & celebrated Christmas with my family and then went to CA to visit my husband’s family.  My son was about a year and a half and he had lots of fun getting to know his cousins and hanging out with his aunts & uncles.

This is one of my favorite papers – love the word search letters in the background.  If I was documenting a Christmas that actually had snow – I’d use my journalling pen to circle ‘dashing through the snow’!  I’ll have to go back and see if I can find any other words to circle.

This green background paper is great for Christmas or non-Christmas fun!

These Workshop Your Way layouts are part of my November class series – November – City Sidewalks – contact me if you’d like more info!

Supplies Used – this project is simple – everything you need is included in the Workshop Your Way kit – available through 31 December (or while supplies last!) at

Hello Mr. Snowman!

Good morning!  I thought I’d start out this month’s cards with this fun snowman.

Cozy Christmas (D1695) is a fun stamp set by itself, but when you add the Thin Cuts (available as a bundle with the stamp set  – Z4008) you can take it so much further – adding dimension with the cut out pieces and foam tape.   All of the images below with the blue outline have a matching Thin Cut, so you can easily mix and match colors and looks for your snowman.

To get the background for this card, I simply cut the 4 x 6″ Picture My Life card to 4 x 5 1/4″ Then I cut out the pieces of the snowman. I decided to stamp his arms directly to the background but could have just as easily cut those out as well.  I also cut out 2 of the trees.  I used the lighter ink (Willow) for the front tree, and then used  a darker ink (Fern) with the more solid image on the back tree.  I also cut off the star and tree stand.

I decided to use ‘Jingle All the Way’ from the M-sized stamp set – A Little Jingle (M1147) and included a piece from the striped 3 X 4″ PML card to add some color.

If I make this card again – I think I’ll move Mr. Snowman down a bit to ground him a little better.

See some of the other products used – along with Black, Sapphire, Ruby, Lemon, Tangerine, Fern & Willow inks.

Don’t forget the paper packet and stamps used for this card are only available through December 31st (or while supplies last) – get yours at

November – City Sidewalks

The holidays are just around the corner – Halloween is in just a few days, then Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas (and my birthday thrown in there as well!).  Our November featured paper is City Sidewalks.  I love these brightly colored Christmas- themed papers.  The fun bold patterns of wreaths, wintery buildings, stripes, and a Christmas word search.  Don’t worry if you don’t want Christmas – the patterns can also be put to non-Christmas uses (I threw in a non-Christmas birthday card for the card class).   This paper even has it’s own digital Cricut Cartridge (more on that in another post) – which ironically, I didn’t even use on any of these projects – so much for my sales skills!

Here’s a quick look at the cards that will be featured for the card class.  Since this time of year is getting busy and we’re using the Cozy Christmas stamp set and Thin Cuts bundle to create the fun snowman (with all his little parts) –  I tried to keep some of the other cards more simple.

How about a basic scrapbook layout – fun for Christmas or Winter

This is my oldest son’s first time playing in the snow – that big blank space is for a 5 X 7 that I need to get printed.

Last but not least – here are the 3 double page layouts from the Workshop Your Way kit.

Look for details on how you can create these cards and layouts on my Class Page (to be updated soon).  Or find the products at
